Water Demand Assessment under Climate Variability Scenarios Using SWAT and WEAP: A Case Study of Kaduna South Catchment

This research was structured to examine the impact of domestic as well Agricultural water demand on current and future surface available within Kaduna South Catchment Nigeria. Also taking into consideration climate variability a factor that will either increase or decrease temperature precipitation in catchment, with significant effect stream flow river basin. A dual Order modelling approach adopted this research, which Soil Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) alongside Evaluation Planning (WEAP) models were engaged simulate streamflow catchment calibrated validated by observe data river. An Hypothetic employed observing analyzing scenarios after output from SWAT model used Input WEAP for simulating high population growth rate 2.21% four different projected 0.4oC observed historical trend. Nevertheless, overall unmet be 305Mm3 70% account while 30% is demand. The calls strategic planning looking out other source such underground not totally rely use.
